Fidget Toys for the Classroom
Fidget toys come in all shapes and sizes, and it can take some trial and error to find the right one for a particular student. They should be mindless activities that are quiet and don't otherwise distract from a lesson.The most common types of fidget toys are used in your hands. Some of the handheld fidget toys we have for sale include:
- Pencil fidgets. These fidget toys slide onto the top of a pencil and feature a component that spins and moves up and down, such as a threaded screw and lug nut.
- Gyrobi fidgets. Three plastic rings nest inside each other and twist and turn to create a fun spinning action.
- Mesh fidgets. These fidgets feature a sealed mesh tube with a marble in the middle that students can roll from side to side for relaxing motion. They're available in an extra-large size and with an attached carabiner.
- Loopeez fidgets. A Loopeez fidget toy has two plastic pieces attached to circular wires that can flip and turn endlessly.
- Fiddle Focus®. With a Fiddle Focus® tool, students run their hands across various textile surfaces, including bumpy, soft, smooth and ridged fabrics.
- Anemone desk fidgets. For another textile-based experience, anemone fidgets feature a strip of fabric with soft tentacles that students can feel underneath a desk.
- Fidget spinners. Fidget spinners are probably the most well-known fidget toy, allowing students to spin the spokes around a center button.
